During our pet photography sessions, I am usually always snapping and sometimes you get those in-between moments where you get to capture some beautiful candid shots or some bloopers!
Your pet photography session are usually planned with the location set when we chat during our pre-consultation session. The session goes for up to an hour but it will differ with each pet/dogs as I go with the flow. We don't take photos constantly in the whole hour as I'd like to ensure your dog is having fun and sniffing around. We take breaks as we walk around the location we're in.
I usually have a list of must have shots in my head and try to capture these during the session, however there are those in between moments where we take a break and walk around or where you are spending time bonding with your dog where my camera might still be clicking. Sometimes I capture some silly and funny expressions.
For example, I had a fun session with Oscar Ewok. It was Autumn and there was a whole lot of fallen autumn leaves. Oscar decided to fly through the leaves and I kept clicking away and managed to capture these photos of him. It was so funny and his owners loved these!
Sometimes it's a cranky or grumpy face like Tank the pug and Poa the Aussie bulldog... or a funny running face like Ranna the cocker spaniel.
I don't delete these photos as they capture the character and personality of your dog (sometimes) and it's always fun to look back at these photos and just laugh. They are great memories and moments!
This post is a part of the Pet Photographers blog circle I am in. This week we talk about your those moments in between the clicks and Darlene Woodward of Pant the Town Photography on location with a dog cover model for Say Paws 2022 Calendar.
