I can't believe Christmas is only a month away and we are coming into the last month of 2021. This year has been an interesting year with a second wave of the coronavirus hitting all of Australia and Canberra being in lockdown for just over 2 months. However, looking back I feel grateful and have a lot to be thankful for despite all the things that has happened this year.
One of my daily habits that I have been doing over the last 3 years is writing in a gratitude journal daily. Every night before going to sleep I write in my gratitude journal 3 things I am grateful for. This has helped me during the times I have felt down and negative because it has helped me look for the positive things in my daily life and look out for things to be grateful for, even if it's just that I get to spend lots of time with my dogs.
What I'm grateful for:
My dogs
I'm so grateful to have James, Pippa and Rosie in my life. They are the ones who have kept me company during lockdown. As Canberra entered lockdown back in August we were not allowed to go more than 5km from our home and was limited to 1 hour of outdoor exercise daily. I live on my own so you would think that during lockdown I would've felt isolated and lonely. However, I did not feel like this at all. Having James, Pippa and Rosie in my life kept me happy. I got to spend lots of time with them, practicing my studio photography. I was also able to take them for daily walks. I can't imagine my life without them or without dogs. They give you unconditional love and I'm so grateful for that.
My Pet Photography Business
I am so grateful that despite the pandemic my pet photography business has grown. I'm grateful for what I've learned from my coaches and mentors and pet photographer friends from Australia and all over the world. Plus, I get to work with dogs and cute puppies, as well as kittens and bunnies.
I'm so grateful to those who have supported me through my journey. I'm so grateful for all the clients and people I have met this year. Some of these clients have also become good friends of mine and I'm also grateful for that. I can't wait to get my business to grow even more.
Lastly I'm so grateful that I get to meet other people who loves dogs and animals as much as I do!! I love surrounding myself with people who loves their dogs as much as I love mine.
My family and friends
I'm so grateful for my family and friends. I wouldn't be where I am without them. Although some of my family members are far away in another country, thankfully due to the awesome technology of video calling, I always feel like they're not far away and they are always there when I need them.
What are you thankful for?
I've written out what I'm grateful for. Yes, these maybe things I am grateful for everyday but I truly am so grateful. Let me know what you are grateful for in the comment below.

Tracy Allard - Dogs have saved so many, in so many ways, during the pandemic . I'm so glad you have James, Pippa and Rosie - they're all darling and I always enjoy your colorful portrait images, it seems like Canberra is always in bloom!

Nicole - I love that during such a strict lockdown, you found the silver nugget and practiced in your studio.
