As a pet photographer in Canberra, I am constantly surrounded by furry friends and their owners. This year has been an amazing year for my business, and I am so grateful to have been able to go full time with my passion. I was also honoured to win a local business award for my pet photography business, getting shortlisted in the Top 100 of the 2022 International Pet Photographer of the Year Awards and getting 2 silver and 3 bronze awards at the New Zealand International Professional Photographer Iris Awards this year. In addition, this year I got to travel overseas since covid. I went to New Zealand to do a workshop, attended a conference and got to see my sister and meet my nephew for the first time.
Here are some of the photos taken from my New Zealand trip.
I'm grateful for the people and dogs who have been a part of it.
I believe that showing gratitude is important in all aspects of life, but especially in business. When we take the time to show our appreciation for our clients, it not only strengthens our relationships but also helps to build a strong foundation for future success.
Without the support of the local community, my business would not be where it is today. I'm constantly amazed by the willingness of people to help out and recommend my services.
I'm also incredibly grateful to the dogs who sit patiently (or not so patiently) while I take their photos. They bring so much joy into my life and I feel honoured to be able to capture their personalities in my photos.
There are many ways to show gratitude, but as a pet photographer, I like to show my appreciation by sharing photos and stories of the pets I've had the privilege of photographing.
So I want to say thank you to my clients, my dogs, my family, fellow pet business owners and fellow pet photographer friends who have in someway made this year an amazing year!

Elaine - Congratulations, on what sounds like a great year, and your awards! New Zealnd is on my bucket list, if I can somehow convince myself to spend more than 20 hours getting there.
