This month I want to feature an amazing rescue organisation. Hear No Evil Australian Deaf Dog rescue is an organisation that was set up specifically to give rescue deaf dogs the home they need. They are the leading rescue and rehoming organisation for deaf dogs and special needs dogs.
I've been volunteering with Hear No Evil for just over 2 years to photograph their foster and rescue dogs located near Canberra and surrounding areas.
About Hear No Evil Australian Deaf Dog Rescue
As I mentioned above this rescue organisation specialises in finding homes for deaf and special need dogs. This is truly important and very admirable as these special needs dogs tend to get dismissed because of their special needs. However, they are just like any other dogs, just that they may need a bit more of extra special attention and training.
Hear No Evil don't just rescue dogs but they also provide information and advice to those who have deaf dogs or who may be interested in adopting a deaf dog. They also provide ongoing support to any adopting families for life and have partnership with dog trainers around the country.
Now I want to share with you some photos of Stormy, who is currently up for adoption and looking for her forever home.
STORMY
Stormy... well from the get go of meeting her when she came to my studios to get her photos she is just a sweet girl, very happy, excited and enthusiastic. If I didn't have 3 little pups already I would adopt her.
Stormy is a 14 months old medium Bull Arab x Bull Terrier (and she may have some staffy in her too..maybe). She's been in foster are since December last year and still looking for her perfect home.
Stormy has a lively personality and she knows heaps of tricks. Stormy didn’t have the best start to life and sometimes some things can startle her and make her anxious. This has improved with the help of her foster carer. Her Foster carer Chelsea has trained her well. She was very good in the studio and will sit and do tricks for treats! She also just received her novice trick dog title and she's got all her basic training down pat!
You can find out more about Stormy and also apply to adopt her here: https://deafdogrescue.com.au/2022/02/stormy/

Tracy Allard - Stormy is adorable! These are great images that I know will help her get adopted. I love that this rescue focuses on these special needs pups, thank you for supporting them.
